Techs and refs
This is becoming a bigger issue as we can't get go a game without getting a T from one of our players. There needs to be some accountability on this. It is not like the NBA where it is a free throw and move on. This counts as a personal foul and can hurt us in certain situations. I believe Heron got one yesterday and he was in foul trouble. Players need to be smarter and shut their mouths and leave it to the coaches.
I worked at the US open tennis tournament for a few years during school, which IMO was the heyday of tennis. I worked in the locker room (cool job) and met a ton of players - just about everyone.
A friend of John McEnroe once said to me, "Watch John. He never blows a fit when he's playing well, only when he is playing poorly and behind. It's strategic"

I think our players are sometimes immature and lose composure when we are playing poorly. A coach often gets some respect after a T. A player never does. Ponds leads the team with 5, and as a result I think some refs are inclined, even subconsciously to let him take more of a beating because of his mouth.
