I think this team has grown up before our eyes. I really thought we were done once the fight happened. Glad I was wrong!! Really happy for the seniors.
 
I have been hard on Phil and Lavin at times (I still don't think the coaching tonight was great), but man did Phil step up big. He really is our only consistent 3 point threat, and he has been knocking down shots this year. I think we would be better served with him as a 6th man, shot maker guy, but I am too happy now to even care about strategy.

Great win! As you all know I am very anti-Cuse, so this was a big one for me, especially since who knows when we will play them again/be able to beat them again. This team has the makings of something special you can tell they really want it.

I am sure most of us thought they were going to collapse after the scuffle and get blown out of the Dome. They showed resiliency, and while people might say this isn't a great Cuse team, the way we won on the road in a hostile environment is impressive enough. WE ARE NEW YORK'S TEAM, WE ARE ST. JOHN'S!
 
AWESOME FINISH!! Especially for Phil! I didn't think they could do it. Congratulations to the team!! This sets us up nice for the rest of the year.
 
Weird I'm stunned yet bet a sizable amount on moneyline for us.. Guess I'm not accustomed to the double Win!!

This feels so awesome. So many things to say. Phil was beyond huge but DLo just stuffed Cooney and was big all game. Dom played great and Chris battled their bigs all game long. U can really see what senior leadership does for a team. Big FT's down the stretch to keep it from getting close at the end. A couple of big defensive stops at crunch time. Wow what a great game and great win. I'm very happy for our guys. Gonna. Be. A fun trip home after this one.
 
This game is out of control and it's now officially over for us. We are just not good enough on the offensive end. We don't shoot the ball with any consistency.

A great win tonight for most importantly the seniors who have never beat Syracuse in four years , our long suffering fans and the staff. This is a real highlight win.
Let's hope we can build on our most important win in four years.
Kudos to Phil and Sir Dom two players who are very maligned on this board.

the same thing happened all through our games in feb and March last season when every game that we fell behind brought barrage of "that's it, we lost" type reactions.
Perhaps it's from posters who never played sports or had to work in environments that require you to reach deep and find something extra while maintaining heart. I don't understand it at all. there are games that are lost at some point..like Syracuse being down 8 with fourteen seconds.
Of course you can eat crow later and I appreciate what is posted doesn't impact the players..they are not reading it live. Nevertheless, it is tough enough for the rest of us to see a lead slip away without reading posts from fans, who pee in their pants when the tide starts to turn. Some of you guys are certainly not the calibre of individual I would want with me in a desperate situation.

I actually just think they have no control of their emotions and come running to the computer to vent.
 
Obepka killed it on the boards today. We need that from him all year. He just needs to finish strong around the rim. He was a workhorse today though both defensively and on the boards!!
 
I hope I don't have a hangover when I go to work @ 4:00 a.m. tomorrow. :eek:hmy:
