Syracuse Game Thread

Vegas got what they wanted as I said yesterday, Syracuse gets the cover late with all the money on SJU with a bloated spread. Damn, they are good, total was 134 1/2-136 1/2 and lands on 135, opening line was 15-16 and Cuse up by exactly 16 until MCW hits the killer 3 at the end to win by 19. Scary.
 
I just put the game off, this is a loss. Bad job guys trying to win a game for Coach Lav.

And we lose to a top 10 team not a team like UNC Ashville. This is a tough game to win and with your head coach and away. This was a good game where they fought and couldn't keep
 
If Sampson leaves after this year we're screwed next year!!! On the flip side, if Sampson stays, we get Gift back and another shooter in Hooper, plus we have Branch for a full season, I still think we can be a top 15 team next year. Call me crazy but that's what I think. Especially if guys work on their games and if Greene is healthy how much better will he be? He's played really well since the Notre Dame game at tghe Garden.

Anyway, back to this season, the Louisville game looks worse that this if we don't get Branch back. With way Louisville presses we need Branch or it will get ugly. I do think that after we get past these two games and get if we get Branch back and reset D-Lo's head we can actually win our last five games and finish 20 - 10.

It was a 10pt game with 3mins to go. I would say that is keeping it close, or at least not as big a blowout as the final score suggests. It ended up being a 19pt game because of pts during garbage time...

You are crazy. I'll be happy if we get ranked at all let alone top 15. We need better recruits who can hit 3's like Cuse. We need our Arciando.
 
No Branch and no Lavin I didnt expect to win so I'm not really upset today.

Today is a reminder that sometimes there are more important things in life. Going to eat with my parents now
 
Marco was dissapointing today. Other than his TOs, Sampson looked great and is making a case for the NBA. Hopefully well get Branch back. This was a game we were supposed to loose, Syracuse is just better than us.
 
D-Lo can shoot three's when his head is on straight, Borgualt can shoot three's if they get him into the flow of the game and his teamates look for him, Hooper I heard can stroke from anywhere and I expect Greene and Branch to improve on their three point shooting in the offseason. Add Gift and I expect Obepka to improve his offensive game. This team is not that far off if everyone stays.
 
We played poorly. Deserved to lose. Full squad I think we can take them but it seemed liked we played just hoping not to get blown out. We need to play with more attitude.

College game you have to hit from outside. We can make a run this year but they all need to realize the importance of borgault. Going forward Lavin better get shooters.

What does greene bring to the team?

They are a top 15 team next year if everyone stays. I know that is a big if but Jakarr and DLo are nuts if they think they are ready for the pros. They would have been a top 15 team this year if Mo stayed and Sanchez was eligible. Mo was ready for the NBA though, Jakarr has potential but he is no Mo at this point.

Greene has played very well since the Notre dame game and was our second best player today and he's playing injured.
 
One of the worst called games I've ever seen by a broadcasting team. Totally biased for Syracuse. Dakich was a disgrace. Not that we looked all that great nor was I looking for them to make excuses for us, but I just felt like I was watching it on the Syracuse TV network.

A point guard, because we don't have one. Good grief, the kid is a shooting guard doing his best at the point in one of the hardest conferences in the country. Blame the staff for not having an adequate backup at that position, but lay off the kid, he plays his ass off out of position, for almost 2 full years.
