Jakarr is looking at All Big East 1st team if/when he comes back next year. My goodness.
 
D-Lo has rgressed to say the least in the second half of this season. Along with Garrett, he also had Borgault wide open for a three and he didn't pass it. He doesn't pass at all any more. This team needs Branch. With him it would have been a closer game. If we had Branch and Gift we might have had a shot today. Lavin not being there hurts also.
 
Our chances at winning today may have been slim even without Southerland but certain guys needed to rise to the occasion. D Lo has played poor, somewhat selfish basketball. I like the kids fire but this is the negative side of it. He's looking like a ton of people i played with that were "gonna get theirs". On the flip side, Greene and Jakarr are trying hard out there. We're gonna need to regroup against an angry Louisville team.

I live and die on W's and L's. Sorry, but I am that way.
 
Look, we got beat but not embarrassed, by the # 9 team in the country at their crazy house where they never lose. They have a HOF coach at the helm; our Coach is 3000 miles away attending to important family matters.

This is not by any means a bad loss. No-one penciled this or the next game in as W's.

We need to go 3 and 2 in our last 5 and win at least one in the BE Tourney to have a shot at the Big Dance.
 
tough game. Hard to win a game when the other team is shooting over 50%. Cues is one hell of a team.

This game hurts Johnnies. They could not keep it close and have no
attack against a zone.

To state the obvious need to beat USF, PC (a very, very tough place to play) and either The Ville, Marquette, or Pitt.

It's not going to be easy but it's not crazy.

Too bad Dakich isn't selecting the teams, and we still have an entire month remaining in the season.
 
5 for 22 from the three point line for a slick 23% shooting percentage. That, plus 16 turnovers - and that's all you need to know about that game.

I still expect this bunch to win between 10-11 conference games prior to the Big East Tournament.
