Was hoping I wouldn't have to say this....but we are going to miss Obekpa lol

Let's be real for a second, first real game together...they haven't looked in sync at any point during the game, but didn't our team of 4 yr players win by 2 (?) last yr in their first exhibition...was I expecting a loss- No, but not entirely surprised here.

Upset they look as sluggish as they do, thought they would have more energy. I was thinking before the season started, if everyone stays healthy, it would be a struggle for double digit wins. Still standing by that assessment. If Lovett is cleared then I'm putting the line at 12.

Remember- DLo/DOm/Phil/Mo first year- they had 13 wins and that was in the Real Big East.

Looking at the current roster, with this level of talent, Mullin needs to scrap his fast-paced shoot the open shot plan and control the offense to a greater extent. Also, need some guys to play defense.

At least we are here. I've suffered a number of lows as a fan of this team, but losing to st Thomas aquinas by 25 may just surpass them all
 
not sure what is more depressing....losing this game or reading the comments on this thread....smh....

the betting odds in vegas for St Johns winning the national championship this year just went to N/A
 
Losing by 30 to this team is ridiculous. Inexcusable to be so uncompetitive. I get 9 new guys, young team,etc. they don't look like they know what it takes to compete.
 
The margin is a bit surprising but not the loss. Why would anyone think we would be competitive this year. We have a completely new roster with a coach that has zero coaching experience. It's going to take at least 2 years to be a .500 team. Be patient and look forward to the future.
