St. Thomas Aquinas

I'm
We look awful.

Sorry Marillac but we can not win with pointer at the 4. Just does not work offensively.

Not many other choices. St. Thomas is well coached...............

Some of y'all are so funny.

Are you watching this game? STAC has a strategy and even they outsized and less athletic are executing it. Let's see what we can do in the last 28 to match their strategy and intensity to cut into their nine point lead.

Defend and shoot better.

They can certainly shoot, though.

Sorry MJ, I dont get it

Maybe, it's just me.... I'm not the over-reactive type.

By the way, one of the pioneers of "ledge jumping" is at it....

This team looks lost. Absolutely lost. Unreal. Brick city ice cold for #sjubb and St. Thomas Aquinas looks like a pro team. Unbelievable.

#sjubb plays bums in exhibitions who look like pro teams against them. Everyone else kills their cupcakes by 30-40. Major issues.

Our play this game is not what has me worried. Its Greene and Pointer getting too many minutes that does.

For me its size, lack of overall yearly improvement (past years), lack of rebounding/defense, lack of overall high team awareness (both sides) and questionable offensive system. Loss of Sampson and Sanchez will be huge with no ready replacements for their size, rebounding and athleticism.

This is fairly obvious, but harrison is best rebounder on the team.

Pointer needs to give us major quality minutes for this season to have any chance.
I don't have a problem with either one of them getting minutes. I have a problem with them being the primary ball handler(s) and/or being parked out on the perimiter.

The offense just does not flow with greene playing major minutes. His overdribbling is still driving me crazy in year 4

This is my problem as well. And guess what, if they get their minutes this is what they'll do.

Harrison and Jordan aggressive on the O boards. Now if Green and Pointer would do the same we'd be onto something.

I have no problem with Greene handling the ball on the break, but not in the half court. I do have a problem with Pointer handling the ball. The only way I like for him to handle it is when he has a wide open court.

How can a wing player (Pointer) never develop a jump shot? I do love his hustle, though.

I do have a problem with greene handling the ball in transition. Never makes a play for anyone else. Just run the court and spot up.

Pointer has had the ball a lot. But one difference that I've seen is that he is trying to finish rather than stopping 20 ft out and trying to create a play. That (finishing) is his game. Being a playmaker is not. Greene also has not been the primary circling the 3pt line as he has in all of his previous seasons. So far so good on those counts. If Greene could get aggressive and use his athleticism instead of trying to be a jumpshooter that is where he would shine.

LOL He does tend to do such. I guess it's picking the lesser of two evils, in my case. I'd rather it be in Greene's hands rather than Pointer's.
