Who is God's name was that ridiculous woman yelling like a psycho everytime the johnnies were at the free throw line?

That nonsense ruined st.johns everytime that happened.

yeah that's why we lost because some woman was yelling. If only everyone would shut up we could go undefeated.

According to twitter it was Kennedy's daughter. I was very annoyed from my tv with it, should not be allowed or some Johnies fans needed to say something.
 
Tough one. Nothing we can do but learn from it, get better and prepare for the next one. Have faith & support our team! 
 
I was also rooting for us to get a look without getting fouled. And about Greene, I was wondering the same thing, in that situation you should have Moe, Nuri, harrison, green and I would put Pointer/Stith on the floor. You are hoping to spread the floor and get a good shot or fouled, no reason to have Gift on the floor. Greene can make a big shot and he can hit a ft, but you know the ball is going to Nuri there. Nuri can become a great player, but he has to 1) work on his fts, 2) work on his shot, and 3) Most important for me, working on his ability to distribute, hes so quick he should be drawing defenders and dishing all day.

Not just the last possesion but he sat almost the entire 2nd half and I thought he was just about our best performer the 1st half.
 
 I predicted that Harkless would make 1 of 2 then A&M would go down and hit a shot with :2 left and beat us.
But hits it with :6 and Lindsey to atleast tie the damn game but misses freaking both.

Type of game that feels like someone took a claw and ripped your heart out.

And last night they were up 8 then Lindsey fouls out then everything was downhill from there, if he doesn`t foul out then there`s no doubt in my mind that we win it. Might be alot of if this and that happened we win games this year, and alot might be heartbreaking.
If Lindsey can develope that MJ drive stop and hit the fade-away he`ll be unstoppable like MJ was.
 
I know what you meant, I agree, but I didn't think of it until that possession. I would have put Gift on the bench. The way we play, with Pointer at the top and Harkless at the bottom of the zone, we don't really need a big guy, especially the way A and M was playing. Just needed to keep pressure on them. Offensively, Gift did nothing anyway, I think Greene needs to play more. He can be careless at times, but he has good energy, can hit big shots, and plays aggressively.

Her screaming should not be allowed? While it was annoying, she really didn't do anything wrong. And our fans wouldn't really have any right to say something to her.....it would be no different than our student section waving their arms behind the hoop when the other team is shooting a free throw.

The biggest concern is that it may have actually affected our team. If our team lets that girl get inside their heads, they are going to have ZERO chance when they are on the road, especially at places like Duke, Kentucky, and Pitt..
 
Unfortunately i missed the game (work).

I would appreciate if someone would please summarize the game in a paragraph, or so, for me. Who played well/ who played bad?

 oh man i thought this was going to be a 7 oclock game. i just turned on the tv and the computer. what time did the game start 430 or 5?
 
 You can a lot away from this lose. First is they really need to practice FT shooting. Missing 16 wont win ya many games. Secondly their interior defense is soft at times, too many easy buckets down low, But their is so much more upside. This is the 5th college game for 95% of the team, but the battled and had a shot to win down the stretch. The paly the whole court for 40 minutes and can claw their way back into games like they did tonite. They will have loses like this throughout the season, they are young and learning. And these guys like each other and there is nothing better then having a team that cares about their teammates. Reading some of harrisson's post game quotes nothing but positives.

I am going to have fun watching this team, watching them develope game by game and come BE play they will be better.

It was actually a six or so year old girl, and while she was EXTREMELY ANNOYING, she was not the reason we lost.

I love the fact that these young kids fought hard, especially when it seemed like the game was getting away from them, but that is a game that has to be won, no ifs, ands, or buts.
 
Interesting observation.......Lindsey is left-handed, he dribbles and makes lay-ups with the left but shoots free throws and outside shots with his right-hand.


I don't know how he ended up that way and I think it's too late to change it......so it will make it extremely hard for the coaching staff to improve it.

All you need to know is that in the last 4 minutes and with the game tied, SJ missed 6 of 8 free throws!
All the talented freshmen played very hard but made freshman mistakes throughout the game, especially Harrison who took a few wild shots and Moe who shot 25 % for the game.
People will bitch about GG but he got no weak side help the entire game.
The game was lost on the line......fatigue and poor form but we coulda shoulda ..."..........

So far, two things are definite: he is no Dwight Hardy from the outside and we do not have to worry about the NBA in his immediate future. Until he develops an outside shot and shoots better at the line we will have Nurideen for three years IMO. He is very effective on the dribble drive but so far has shown no other qualities that would make him an effective point guard since his foul shooting is suspect. I can't see him as a two guard in my wildest imagination since I think he has hit just a couple of shots all season from deep to make him a threat. Quite an an enigma!!!

If we are going to rely on driving the lane and getting to the line, we are going to have shoot a lot better from the free throw line!

 However, I think that that very loud and annoying little girl that is screaming may have something to do with it. Anyone else notice her? haha

As much as the little girl annoyed me and our team lost...I believe these guys will succeed in the long term.

These players are very talented

GG is the last option on offense. There is no power forward on this team to give him inside help and there is no back up with Pelle gone. In fact, Pelle was penciled in for the job before flunking and Gift was going to be a very good 15-20 minute backup. He is starting out of necessity but he is no Dele Coker or Justin Burrell! This kid competes and will improve---something neither Coker nor Burrell did in four years!

Not denying that. Having no inside help doesn't mean he shouldn't have more then 2 defensive rebounds in 2 games. On the defensive end he seemed to be too far under the basket. I could really care less how many points he scores as long as he rebounds. By the way Harkless seems to be helping out pretty well on the boards.

I believe Jeff Goodman tweeted that it was Billy Kennedy's daughter that was screaming during our FT attempts.
