Nope. played horrible, but hard play got us to the point to win. If we continue to play with the same intensity, these games will be W's not disheartening L's.
Tough to lose a game, any game by one point when you are on the line for 2 shots. Even at PAL level that hurts. Quickest team I have seen but rebounding is going to be a problem all year. This team could be like to old Celtics with a rebounder like Bill Russell. When it all comes together, watch out..

There are those of us who believe they are knowledgeable about the team and the history of the program who predicted a 10 -14 win season. If you are in that camp you were expecting many a loss this season and while not being happy with last night's result can certainly be pleased and can find no reason in needing to beat up the players.
This year would have been tough had we had Jakaar, Amir and Norvelle, had Coach not missed a month recovering from surgery and had Rico been present 100% of the time.
I hate to loose, I hate how we lost but I love how a game against a top 20 team went down to the wire.
I hate to pile on the kid but he had 2 rebounds vs Arz, and only 3 vs A & M. That can't happen, plus all of a sudden his free throw touch is gone, and his offensive game disappeared. The team actually played better with him on the pines. He also watched big after big pour in layups right around him. Very disappointing two days from GG.

TAM had quality and experienced Bigs against GG. Once you get the ball to a good big guy down low unless GG gets help, you get what we saw yesterday.
Watch the game on replay as I did after and count the touches GG got in this game! He was able to get one shot off the entire game. Most of the rebounds were long and TAM bigs were bigger, faster and better. Our team has no half court offense as yet and Nurideen and Harrison have to learn how to share the ball better.
We lost this game on the foul line. Period. You guys keep focusing on GG's two rebounds when you should focus on Nurideen missing half of his 12 free throws! Had St. John's gotten MoMo Jones, both these losses would have been wins.
That's just silly. The only reason we were in the game at all is because of made free throws. Yes, we mised a bunch of FTs. We also shot 34 percent from the floor - scoring a field goal every three minutes - shot 27 percent from 3, got outrebounded by 10, and had 13 TOs (vs 7 assists). A slight improvement in any of those areas to somewhere approaching even mediocre and missed FTs don't matter at all. Obviously the missed FTs at game's end were critical. But the only reason they were critical is because of the incompetence we displayed for the first 38 minutes.
