St. John’s (2020-21)

who is rosemund and gavalas? walk ons?
Yes. Gavalas' mom is highly educated, so I'll assume he won't pull the team GPA down. Plus his sister was a D-1 track athlete, so maybe he'll provide some garbage time speed if it's in the genes.
Since the Knicks will likely never get Giannis, getting an Artemios to play at SJU , may be the closest to a Greek Freak playing homecourt at MSG.

Rosemond grew two inches since last year.
Pretty sure that height for McGriff is wishful thinking
Even with 6 pairs of socks.

I think it's a non issue. If you are less than 6'2 or 6'3" you are at a compromised height. That being said, in basketball, while height is paramount, speed and quickness (2 separate gifts) are the 2nd most valuable commodities that can offset a lot in terms of being vertically challenged. From reports, McGriff appears to have that, and can cause fits for opponents if he is that good.

No disputing that McGriff and Posh are obviously well under 6 ft. I still think Ponds might've been 5'11 but always listed at 6+.

Agree on McGriff and Ponds. Think Posh might be slightly under 6'.

Just out of curiosity are these discussions with or without sneakers? I also think it makes very little difference if you are 5’11 or 6’. In fact some of the 5’11 guys could have longer arms and bigger hands or jump substantially higher.

With sneakers and some poetic license :)

Ok - Then in my Timberland boots I am going to go with 6’4.

It might be 2020 but some things never change.

It's been awhile since a good ole height debate. All we need is a picture of multiple players to really get the discussion going

Since we can't talk politics or Covid, and since the season hasn't started, we're grasping for straws.

Anyone who doesn't think there's a difference between 5'11 and 6'0 has not been on the dating scene for a while! Thankful to be off the market haha

What, you'd prefer a width debate?

Sorry to change the topic guys...but just read that BC has 2 preferred walk ons who are both 3 star kids. Don't think I've ever heard that before...

Did you hear this from the same place that said Trevor Lawrence refused to play for the Jets?
