St. Joe's game

I'm sorry, but Phil Greene is either receiving bad instruction from the coaching staff our just a bonehead on the court. He's horrible shooting, yet he's always handling the ball and settling for deep jump shots. Why is he never slashing and creating or driving for a layup or drawing fouls?

we have no one under the basket everytime we shoot a jumper. there's always 2 st joe's guys underneath waiting for the rebound

Since we're so athletic, why do we always settle for bad jump shots and never attack the basket??? It makes no sense.

I would love for them to watch some tapes of Mike Anderson's offense at Arkansas and try to apply it a bit

Jones has had a very poor half.
Garett had a bad half.
Greene had a bad half.
But i got my wish about seven or less....
so first five minutes of the second half is key...winner of the first five should go on to get beat in the second round

I don't know how bad Greene's hip is, but I am pretty certain he has issues with his eyesight. For a three point specialist, Bourgault is wanting

This team is just extremely undisciplined. They very well may pull this out but the bad signs are just so glaring.

Ok coach lets light a fire under this team We have pride and this team is not better than us So far they want it more

Do they have a coach or just free lance?

Lavin is just way too hands off it appears to me. No one can stand a micromanager. But if there ever was a team that needed one, it is ours.

When we are in the halfcourt offense, it looks so elementary that it's sad.

If you're going to pass the ball around, at least pass it around with some sort of purpose.

well, that was a very mediocre performance by both teams...
except for our defensive pressure and their three point shots and rebounding, there would be nothing engaging for any fan of either team.
Nevertheless, Branch didn't get this third. Sampson seems essentially ok, though he got whacked regularly with no fouls called on his defenders. Pointer seems to be playing well enough on defense and hit some threes to make this within reach.
So, IF we can penetrate the zone off the dribble with Branch or Sampson or Greene (please) we might pull this out with our defense. The Big O can block a few and will probably last the second half since there were few fouls called.
I would bench Jones and Frenchman unless someone needs a breather.

St Joe's is impressive for 4th or 5th best in Atlantic 10.. They shoot well and looked like the better team at half time.

Our team? Same old stuff all season. Basically horrible in every facet of organized BB..

There are so many things wrong with our guys that it's difficult to pinpoint any one thing to improve?

Shooting? Awful
Rebounding? Non existent.

Team Cohesiveness? None
Coaching? Serious questions have to be asked
