St. Francis Game

Not to stir up a hornet nest... but I'm at the game and I do not think I see Sanchez at the end of the bench... can any one else please confirm?

He is busy filling out his social security application. Turns out he was actually 62.

According to the ESPN box score of the game, God'sgift played. I guess that means no Sanchez.
I did not hear an announcement on that.

Gift didn't play.

Thanks Tom. The original boxscore showed God with a rebound. That's what I get for missing a home game even in Brooklyn.
Sorry for any confusion

Thanks for clearing that up. I, too, saw Gift's name temporarily pop up in the box score, and my reaction was the same: staff must have received word that Sanchez doesn't qualify. Glad to see there's still some hope for his eligibility.

Good to know "God" with a rebound! It is about time we put God back in our lives! Staying with the religious inferences, Christian (Jones, that is), has totally disappeared from our lives and was able to collect 4 fouls in record time in a God-awful game for him.

Reporting live from Barclays. Good sju win. We had 100 fans at most. Depressing. Michigan vs wva has thousands. Michigan fans loud! I know who we are but we should have more fans.

This triple-header was organized as the Michigan Alum Invitational many moths ago. St. John's was an afterthought and an insult to most of us redmen fans, being relegated to a warm-up game against "Brooklyn's Team" as someone mentioned. Brooklyn team's thousands of fans forgot to walk down Atlantic Avenue to attend the game.

Pretty sure because its not a home game and he isn't cleared to play while the other 3 (Gift, Max, Jamal) are is the reason why you did not see him on the bench.

So Obekpa now has the most blocks in the NCAA and 2nd in blocks per game. According to my math as of right now. With Jeff Withey (NCAA leader in blocks) playing a game now so he could end up #1 by the end of the night.

Whitney had 5 blocks tonight. I went through the Kansas box scores, and I came up with 50 total blocks in 10 games for Whitney, including tonight. Obekpa's 9 today gives him a total of 58 in 11 games. Simple arthmatic says that Obekpa is now the NCAAs statistical leader in blocked shots per game. That's if Whitney's total is accurate.

With todays game, Kansas has played only 9 games, not 10. Withey's at 5.44 per game, Chris is at 5.27.

Correct, crgreen.
Bad job by me.

Sorry about the post, ESPN corrected the original post game box score. It showed God'sgift with a rebound. They corrected it. I apologize for any confusion.
That's what I get for missing a home game.

Marillac told me today to remind everyone that Gods Gift gets more rebounds redshirting than Jones does playing

unable to to get 1000 fans to go to brooklyn
resign moanasch u fooll w no tv

That's why I laugh when people say we shouldnt play Syracuse or Uconn or name your team at the Garden as some sort of punishment. Both teams dont need us to play there and both would outdraw us.

Michigan, its alum groups and their NYC alums especially, have been promoting this game for quite a while. It was an organized effort. St. John's did zero to get their fans to the game. St. Francis did even less. For Fordham and Princeton students and fans, risking their lives to go to Brooklyn was too much to ask. The restaurants, bar scene, and shopping are non-existent. For these schools to be sucked into a warm-up game for the Michigan Alumni Invitational was pitiful! There should have been ONE warm-up game -- LIU-SF. Monasch is an impicil! He needs to go in the new Big East regurgitation.
