Smith Injury

Ultimately none of us can know whether it's a "good idea" for him to play or not. Unless you are the kid and staff. If he plays, I will assume it is because everyone is on board with that being in the best interest of Dev and the team. If not, it's not.
Yup. We have no idea the extent of the injury. Heck we dont even know the injury really. A couple different diagnosis's have come out already. I am fine if he plays tomorrow night as that will indicate it was more hoopla then it seemed to be. I am sure the medical staff will steer him correctly.

Dev is greatly important.... some might even say... Bigly.... to the success of our team... BUT

if there was ever a stretch in a Schedule to "rest" and get "right".... it would be these next 5 games:
-GTown - Home
-SH - Away (gonna be a home game)
-X - Home
-GTown - Away
-Prov - Home

need him 100% on Feb 4
Expecting 10-1 after these next 5.

We got a big time coach building a big time team.
No more saying oh let's take 4 of these 5 games.

I'm a very greedy person, I want all 5.
If we can't be a big time team under Rick, then we'll never be a big time team.

Then we'll get the 5* recruits attention, and we'll never look back with Slick Rick as coach.

If players can, they play. I am sure SJU has a more than competent medical staff that will rule him out if that is the right call.
They might just use their long time traditional fall back "tendinitis" diagnosis.

Rick Pitino says there's a "60-70%" chance of Deivon Smith playing versus Seton Hall on Saturday.
