It's my fault. I got so fixated on the sandwich that I didn't pick up on MainMan's Ruben/Reuben pun.Wasn’t my fault for sure. But I do love reading the latest posts
Now I find myself checking Uber eats
I think people are going way too far one way and the other with Prey. Think we mostly go small at the 4 and Zuby, Prey and USC kid have to combine to make up for the loss of Joel.Chatter that Prey announcement today or tomorrow
I think that whomever comes in at the 5 will be a better fit than Joel in the system. Soriano was average against good centers. Great kid but I think we all saw he was overmatched and Pitino definitely was not a huge fan of his gameI think people are going way too far one way and the other with Prey. Nice. Some of the younger posters will not get this reference.Heard Mr. Cragg was part of a deal for a Power Forward to be named at a later date?
PS….. It’s 7:00 PM do we know where our 24-25 Power Forward (4 man) is?

Hopefully Zuby, Prey and USC combine to give us 14 and 10I don’t agree with this. Joel started out the season like gang busters but faded as the year went on. What we learned was that much of that was due to a nagging injury. Many of us who were hard on him and his play were not aware of this till the season ended. It will be hard to replace a “healthy” Soriano.
I think Zuby should be good for something like 8 and 6 (or maybe 6 and 8) so that's a pretty low bar for the group. And it wouldn't surprise me if Zuby surprised and was more like 12 and 8 by himself. I think you can count on the boards - the points will be a function of whether and where others get him the ball.Hopefully Zuby, Prey and USC combine to give us 14 and 10
I think it wise to not get too excited or disappointed in Prey filling final spot without seeing him in action. To me, after missing out on more mature, experienced guys like Omier and Watkins, this is the best staff could do.I think people are going way too far one way and the other with Prey. Honestly, I don't recall any disclosure of a nagging injury, though I could be mistaken. What I saw was that once the competition ratcheted up, his production went down, as well as an inconsistent "motor". It happened the year before, midseason if I recall correctly. He was a good player for us, particularly early in season, and he improved greatly while here. His production will not be easy to replace, but I hope the overall talent in the roster will do so.I don’t agree with this. You are mistaken. He suffered a torn meniscus around Christmas time that was kept quiet.Honestly, I don't recall any disclosure of a nagging injury, though I could be mistaken. RMW, someone posted that Soriano hurt his ankle (I believe it was ankle) and was considering sitting out but was convinced to play with it. I have no idea whether this is true or not as I never saw any follow up posts but believe that is what SD was referencing. Regardless, he did play better towards the end of the year and rebounded well even when he wasn't scoring.Honestly, I don't recall any disclosure of a nagging injury, though I could be mistaken. Yes, for maybe the last 2 or 3 games. But the second half was basically a wash-out.RMW, someone posted that Soriano hurt his ankle (I believe it was ankle) and was considering sitting out but was convinced to play with it. My assumption is that that kind of injury likely would have sidelined him, but ???You are mistaken. He suffered a torn meniscus around Christmas time that was kept quiet.
Believe what you want I had it on good authority it was a torn miniscus.Yes, for maybe the last 2 or 3 games. But the second half was basically a wash-out.
So, some say an ankle, some say meniscus? I think that could be a little smoke and mirrors given his pro aspirations, etc. But so be it. It is ancient history at this point, maybe a little revisionist.
If you have Zuby at 12 and are like everyone else on here who thinks we should play 12 guys and Dunlap is going to be really good then I would love to see your ppg projection because I figure you would have us averaging around 140.I think Zuby should be good for something like 8 and 6 (or maybe 6 and 8) so that's a pretty low bar for the group.
