Prey puts us at 13. I think we'd be done unless there's a can't-miss guy that we can grab last minute. Only so many minutes/NIL to go around.
This is where I'd like other people with sources to chime in. But if Watkins and Prey was on the table, it seems like its fair to assume we'd have some NIL left over. Would it be saved for a potential Storrs exodus?
Things are fluid and misinformation seems rampant. But, if this is true, then I am sure that the staff pivoted since the Watkins thing seemed to be too much drama, had too much hair on it and involved too much brain damage.

Yeah, I think Y2 was the only person who suggested we could get both Prey and Watkins. I question whether that was ever feasible from a $ and playing time perspective.

guy is essentially batting .900 , with Omier being his only wrong call. Couldnt care less about incorrect info on a zoom call. Find us a more tuned In guy when it comes to reporting out on this stuff. And Save me the ones that have been wrong on on multiple “locks” going years back.
I would love a 3 page back and forth between marillac and Larry about Preys guard like game and how it compares to Nick Collison, cause personally I don’t see either. Would love to have him and sure he would help but don’t see a game changer for next year from him.

Averaged nearly 19ppg and shot a little over 48% from the field and 36% behind the arc. He went for 17 in a win @UCLA and 22 in a loss to Stanford.
I have a hunch this is more about placing out feelers than anything else.

By my count that makes two wrong calls. And saying a Zoom that never happened went well isn't "incorrect info". It's lying.

This late in the game, you have to. I don't think this changes our well the staff did this portal season, but we clearly need another forward.
I think if this Rubin Prey commitment holds, you guys should be a lot more excited than you seem to be. I believe he adds a lot…regardless of his age.
Have zero idea how this kid is getting his 14 game sophomore season back but good for him. He would be better than keeping the spot open. 24 year old who’s shot 34% from 3 over last two season on 2 1/2 attempts.
Prey is someone who I really just want to see him on campus, eligible by NCAA, and play a game before I have high expectations. We've never had luck with the NCAA on eligibility stuff and I find the transition to the US for international guys to always be underestimated by people. So it's probably unfair of me to paint with that broad of a brush.
Complementary piece to me v game changers like Omier, Watkins types. Prey also likely to be a one year loaner too & go pro somewhere. Not sure who sticks around anymore. That said, so late in game you take Prey imo.

Omier, Watkins were two guys I was confident in thinking would compete for an all-BE spot. It's a big difference.

Also if Hurley does take lakers job ,which I think is going to happen might be an interesting late addition or two to the portal.
