SJU Portal Targets

Crazy day!! I'll say what I can on some of the dm's I've gotten(ty and sorry ill answer them as soon as I can)...and pls remember this is all fluid now that money is involved
1) Elliot....No for SJ
2) Mo Odum...My guy....really good player. Lets see...
3) Sanon....no idea
4)Dent.....No...or LOOOONG shot...LOOOOOONG
5) A mid-major guard.....lots if interest...let me confirm in morning
6) Jackson...have no real info yet....IF he stays it wouldn't be at UNC(unless amends are made which seems VERY unlikely)...this wouldn't shock me
7) Their are SO many good players around...It's really hard bc some of my guys are all-league types at smaller schools and now they are being asked to dance with the prom queen.....gonna get even crazier in next few days

We know the offensive talent and shooting ability is there with Sanon. But he's going to have to buy in on the defensive end. Also going to have to adjust to a more structured offensive system than he was playing at ASU. Going to be a bit of a culture shock going from Bobby Hurley to Pitino.

He likely slots in as the leading minute guy at the 2 which would cut into Sim's time.

The 2/3s on the roster right now assuming Sanon does indeed commit - Sanon, RJ, and Sim. A handful more 2/3/4s potentially on the radar with Hopkins, Watkins, Jackson.

Getting a bit ahead of myself here I know but get a big PG (Demary type) and a lineup of Demary/Sanon/RJ/Hopkins/Zuby is once again able to switch 1-5 on defense.

You've also understated that potential lineup's the offensive upgrade is huge. Like, jump 40+ spots in Kenpom offensively huge ;)
 
Can't say I've watched much Pepperdine hoops this season but Odum having the number 1 Assist rate in all of college basketball is intriguing especially if the rest of the team is surrounded by scorers. Also shot 37% from 3 so teams can't dork him. Would be in on him to take over the Deivon role next to another more legit PG or combo.

Perhaps attempting to build a similar roster to last year but with some offensive upgrades in certain spots.

Kadary - Demary
Deivon - Odum
Sim - Sanon
RJ - RJ
Scott - Hopkins
Zuby - Zuby

Again, I know getting way ahead of myself and more guys will hit the portal and end up on our radar. But dreaming like this numbs the pain of not having a game on Thursday.
