What's the point of the "do not contact" tag when entering the portal (as Elliot Cadeau just did..) ? I assume that means the player already has it narrowed down to 1 or 2 schools and doesn't want to waste 30+ other schools time by them reaching out? I get not wanting to waste time and get bombarded, but wouldn't you be curious about how much some other teams would be willing to pay for you?

That’s what Matt was hired to do. Everyone does it. It’s his blind hatred of all things SEC that drives his thinking or lack thereof.

Verrrrrrrrry well aware of how the game is played. My dislike of the SEC is no secret. I'm not blind to the reality of D1 sports. Just took the opportunity to pounce on Oats / BAMA.

Nonetheless, I am very content with the portal news thus far. I trust Rick and company will identify and land the players we need to compete at the highest level on the court.
