Bruce Thornton, combo guard from Ohio State, has been on SJU’s radar for a while, but has not entered portal. He is a very good player, but obviously would attract a lot of interest if he goes portal.
“All eyes and ears are on an announcement of some sort about what happens with guard Bruce Thornton. He has yet to make an NCAA Tournament because of Ohio State's inability to make it the last three years. Does he trust the program enough to stay for his senior season or go elsewhere to a place he thinks can help him realize the dream of playing in March Madness?”
Demary, as Sju79 and others have said, seems uphill battle, but we’ll see soon enough.

I would love to have Thornton on this team , as much as I like Demary Thornton is a better player.

Agree. Demary has more size/NBA upside, but specifically for next season I agree Thornton is the more polished, efficient player.
Demary is a better player IMO. He's also only a soph and played on a better team. If we want to build back some size and switchability, he's the guy. The gap isn't that wide, though, so if he's asking 2 mill and Thornton is asking 1.25 or so, you take Thornton.
Demary feels like a more natural replacement for Richmond, but you can't go wrong with either of these kids.
Sure our options are not limited to just these two
