I don't think Rick wants that either.I would not be a happy camper if Sim is the starting PG next season
He has skills but has not displayed sufficient skills as a PG to play major minutes at that position

I like Sim.in many ways, he’s an NBA style combo/PG. But in the college game it doesn’t really hack it IMO. We need ball handlers to break presses and he’s one of them but I don’t think he can be the primary ball handler for a top 5/10 team over the full course of a season.Absolutely!!!! Don’t underestimate Sim as a PG. I’m a season ticket holder who also watched the Vice series. Sim hit big shots, made big defensive stops, made a big block, made huge assists (don’t forget the game winner to Zuby), and has the personality for NYC. He will tighten his handle and be great.
Like I said, if he hasn't portaled by the end of this week, he probably won't.Evidently he loves it there and the money evidently is right. So to him, it makes sense.
I don't disagree, but he also played 25.4 mpg for the #1 ranked defense in the country and was our primary mode of wearing down guards when Deivon was out. He did that while clearly lacking 10 lbs of muscle and playing fourth fiddle on offense.I like Sim.in many ways, he’s an NBA style combo/PG. But in the college game it doesn’t really hack it IMO. I sincerely hope that you're right about a massive jump for next yearI don't disagree, but he also played 25.4 mpg for the #1 ranked defense in the country and was our primary mode of wearing down guards when Deivon was out. That sophomore to junior jump can be a massive one. Russ Smith was 35.6% from the field and 30.6% from 3 as a soph and as a senior shot 46.8% and 38.7, respectively. Sim has so much to build on after this season and a clear weakness that can be remedied rather easily.
I sincerely hope that you're right about a massive jump for next year
Sim has a very nice looking shooting stroke but his shooting percentage doesn't reflect that
I can see his offensive stats improving next year but it's his defense and lack of strength that concern me
Another year of experience, more confidence and 10 more lbs of muscle can make a real difference
Fingers crossed for a much improved and more confident and effective Sim next season
Also ironically, the longer you wait, the better the recruit is we're going after.Rather than grab the Advil, ask yourself this question. If two weeks ago you were told you would get Sanon, BHop in portal early, but not Demary, who spurned us before, would you take that? I would. Trusting staff & being a “wait & see” mode seems advisable.

All I know from a week ago, staff really liked Sellers. If key need Pitino articulated is improving shooting, he really fits.I really like Sellers. I'd want to start him, Sanon, a PG with Hop and Zuby upfront. Any sense of where we stand with him?
PGs might be committing but then the PGs at those schools might now be unhappy. And so it continues.Very happy! But it’s early and PG’s are flying off the board. Still, I’m confident that RP and is staff will land a good one.
I’m fully confident in this staff that we will find somebody else really good if Demary goes elsewhere. I just hate UConn so much can never be happy to see them get a good player any other team in the big east I would be like oh well it’s good for the league lol
And PG boot camp this summer. That’s his path to the NBA if he can make the transition. It’s been done before but he needs a lot of work.
As long as no one else portals, grab Sellers, and a high level guard who maybe isn’t available yet, and I’m feeling really good about the team. Then maybe we’d need one more athletic wing who can shoot to fill things out.
