SJU Portal Targets

With Sanon on board, plus potential for Hopkins, we are really going to need to look for some playmakers. Sanon showed little ability to make plays for others last year, only 28 assists in 28 games. Makes it a little hard for me to see 2-4 of Sanon, RJ, Hopkins for majority of stretches. Would I welcome this problem? Absolutely!

79's guy is rated as the #2 playmaker on Evan Miya. Seems way too logical of a fit

Yeah love him but as you also pointed out he is small. Might not be a 30 minute guy in the BE. Give me him and Boyd please
I think that is the caliber of guards that we're targeting.

Also think its worth mentioning that Zach's article about Sanon said the staff is building around Zuby since RJ may go pro. I think thats a crucial lens to see these moves through

Crazy day!! I'll say what I can on some of the dm's I've gotten(ty and sorry ill answer them as soon as I can)...and pls remember this is all fluid now that money is involved
1) Elliot....No for SJ
2) Mo Odum...My guy....really good player. Lets see...
3) Sanon....no idea
4)Dent.....No...or LOOOONG shot...LOOOOOONG
5) A mid-major guard.....lots if interest...let me confirm in morning
6) Jackson...have no real info yet....IF he stays it wouldn't be at UNC(unless amends are made which seems VERY unlikely)...this wouldn't shock me
7) Their are SO many good players around...It's really hard bc some of my guys are all-league types at smaller schools and now they are being asked to dance with the prom queen.....gonna get even crazier in next few days
SJU79. Better than EF Hutton.

I haven't seen a second of Moe Odum play. Not even a YouTube highlight vid.

But I like players named Moe.

So I'm on board.
Like Dk I watched way too much late night West Coast Tournament games. Pepperdine and Odum went on a little run after a tough season. Kid is a little smallish but he balled out. Hit big key 3s and was fearless. Is he BE level? I’ll trust Pitino and crew on that one. I guess it depends on who else we are interested in.

Yeah, he put up nice numbers on a bad team in a lesser conference.

His 3 to 1 assist ratio is what I really like.

So I'm all for proceeding with caution with the caveat that I don't know nothing.

Best to assume Sanon doesn't offer any ability to create for others. Hopkins actually does from the 4.

It sounds as though Hopkins' decision will come down between Cooley's Georgetown and Rick Pitino's St. John's and could happen fairly quickly.

Hopkins will ramp things up this week first with a visit to Georgetown and then a visit to St. John's this weekend, sources told 247Sports.

This works out perfectly. If Hopkins picks SJU, I will revel in the fact the team has an another alpha front court player that will help immensely.

If he picks Georgetown, then I can say he is often injured and is not worth the risk.
