SJU Portal Targets

Yes , I can’t recall exactly where I saw it but , it was posted . For whatever that is worth

Cooley and G’Town seem a logically place for Hopkins as he played for Ed at PC .

As we all know , not everything posted is factual but , the pieces do seem to line up for the Hoyas .
Canceling a visit is often a indicator of things to come ..

And you’ve ignored a dozen posts about it being rescheduled😂

Oats taking a page or two out of Saban's playbook. Keeping BAMA's tradition of cheating going during NIL is impressive.

We cancelled the visit this past weekend. He is visiting us this coming weekend from what I’ve seen posted earlier today.

You'd have to assume Rick does one of his portal workouts with Bryce, and they're comfortable with what they see.
I could be wrong on this but I don't think every target is put through a workout on their visit. I think with Zuby it was more a case of Rick and staff having no background on his game since he played so few minutes at Kansas. Maybe a couple others went through workouts but I don't think guys like Kadary and Hopkins would have to. Maybe the injury thing changes things with Hopkins but as 79 said I'm sure they've done their due diligence and then some on that front already.

Deivon did a workout and said it was a top reason he came here.

I think it’s more of a tool for selling playing for him instead of evaluating the player.

Interesting. Must have missed that one last year

“When I hopped off the plane, I did a workout individually, and that was like what we were going to do every day,” Smith said. “I just knew that in order to take my game to the next level, I had to grind. That Coach P could get out there and work us out every day shows how dedicated he is to the game and to investing time in us as players. That was super special — and kind of all I needed to see.”

I think its as much of a test (for both sides) as it is a recruiting tool.

If they manage to load up on offense I'm thinking we can survive with a pass-first steady PG as opposed to trying to find a superstar there.
I would be more than fine with Nick Boyd as our PG next year. I’ve been high on him for a while and think his numbers don’t do him complete justice. Plus gets the lefty bump.
