Don’t we need 2 new guards to replace Kadary and Smith? Sim third G and Lefty fourth is still less than ideal in a guard driven game.
Well than someone needs to tell Amase
I mean, this is whole conversation even being semi-realistic sounds like an insane fever dream. But, wouldn't you feel x100 more secure about the roster if Trimble was the backup?RJ,Hopkins, Zuby and a guard who only wins!?! That’s exactly what I am thinking about lol

Now I’m lost lol. Backup for who? If Trimble was part of that group I listed I’d probably start him instead of Sanon and have him back up the wing.I mean, this is whole conversation even being semi-realistic sounds like an insane fever dream. I think that makes us 100% betterSwapping him for Sim
Certainly he’s not a guy who can’t be outplayed. Theres no guards out there you think start over him?Sanon is not a backup. Please.
As the season's now over and we're all talking these things out together, I feel like we're all collectively coming to the same conclusion about him. lolI think that makes us 100% better
Your posts make it sound like if we bring in two new guards you’re afraid we will lose Sim. Need 4 guards that can play ideally one that could play minutes at wing.Lol tell me what?
I’d love for Sanon to come here and backup RJ on the wing. I think he’s much more that than a combo, and I always prefer having two guards who can play-make on the court. I doubt that’s how they’re getting a top30 freshmen to come here tho. So If they are bringing back RJ and grabbing Hopkins, then Sanon is most likely coming in as a guard. Which to me doesn’t replace the ball handling left by Kadary or Smith. No one thinks that’s the only guard we will bring in.

If we could only get one, who would your preference be between Hopkins and Watkins? The thing I like about Hopkins is that he averaged 6.8 defensive rebounds per game his last full season with Providence. That's important with Zuby. Aaron averaged just 2.4 and often times wouldn't even touch guys as they went by him for the rebound. After you try and control for pace, personnel, role, etc., Hopkins still has around twice the defensive rebounds.
Aaron is a much better defender I think, but Hopkins might be able to be better on 5's with his strength. It's not close on offense obviously.
I don't know if Hopkings and Watkins is getting too greedy, but I'd like that pairing.

Thanks.Watkins
100%. Projected 2nd round pick. Attacking 6'2" PG, athletic and a good defender. Great stat line. 20ppg/6.4apg/49 FG%/40.9 3PT%.Let's just simplify it and get Donovan Dent. Agreed? *spits on hand and extends for shake*
Just my opinion watching the 2. Watkins is like a Swiss Army Knife. Can do a lot of things. Others will probably feel differently.Thanks.
