The thing I like about Hopkins is that he averaged 6.8 defensive rebounds per game his last full season with Providence. That's important with Zuby. Aaron averaged just 2.4 and often times wouldn't even touch guys as they went by him for the rebound. After you try and control for pace, personnel, role, etc., Hopkins still has around twice the defensive rebounds.
Aaron is a much better defender I think, but Hopkins might be able to be better on 5's with his strength. It's not close on offense obviously.
I don't know if Hopkings and Watkins is getting too greedy, but I'd like that pairing.

Bryce Hopkins' ability in both the mid-range game and going to the basket is at a high level when healthy.
His defensive prowess and rebounding ability are plus.
But the real question is which Bryce Hopkins are we getting?

Hope they are wrong Sanon is the perfect player for us.

Their research on his health and NIL desires did not just start this week. Agents know NIL GMs better than their spouses.

If they manage to load up on offense I'm thinking we can survive with a pass-first steady PG as opposed to trying to find a superstar there.
Yeah, plus Zuby is the five again.
If they don't get Hopkins, maybe they find a bigger guy next to him instead.

I do not work with Bryce but his ppl have , and rightfully so let it be known for some time he was leaving and they have all the medical information done..for months, and multiple times over. ... I have heard SJU is comfortable with his health and if a number can be worked out he would like to be here. My guess is he will at SJ next yr.I saw somewhere that Hopkins cancelled his SJU visit . Was that a fact ?

We cancelled the visit, likely because Rick was at the NM/Mich St game & then had exit interviews with players the next day.
The upcoming weekend visit w SJU was noted yesterday. Have you seen anything contrary to that?
