SJU Portal Targets

One of the members here who doesn't post often is a family member or close friend of Storr. Maybe Mug is friends with the poster. Not saying he is but you'd be shocked about which family members and friends have posted here past and present
Not friends with anybody but just using common sense. Over a month ago Trilly said Storr was going to portal and is strictly going to the highest bidder (if he doesn’t go pro). Word already is Illinois, Texas, and Ole Miss are already nearing a mil in their offers for him.

A) If Pitino wanted him back last year and he left Pitino isn’t going to go after him again a year later
B) Storr isn’t the player Pitino is going to get into a 7 figure bidding war for

But here’s the thing with that. Towards the later part of the season, Rick was more concerned with his team scoring as many points as they could (he even stated so) then being concerned with defense. I’m not sure if his coaching philosophy actually changed or if he got tired of trying to get these kids play D. Either way as I’ve said in other threads , Rick always liked his PGs to be prolific scorers which Jenkins was.
The team didn't take off until we stopped worrying about feeding Soriano and let Jenkins be option #1

Kadary is a tremendous talent. Big lead guard who can get to the rim and set his teammates up. He's got a role on any offense in the country. From what I gather he has an incredibly sour relationship with Holloway, on top of NIL issues, thus the divorce on the horizon.

It's another head scratcher for me because I think he has an interesting skill set but not sure how it jives with what Pitino wants, and stresses, specifically the outside shooting need. We'll see
I wonder if the idea with Richmond and Bensley is that Rick thinks he can elevate their scoring and shooting with coaching. Seems a reasonable thing to believe for me. He sees what he can do with them, where we just see what they are now. If Rick takes a kid, I am excited no matter what I personally think about the kid

This is the correct answer, the guy is an outstanding player and you have to figure that even though the fit seems odd, if Pitino wants him then he has a plan for how he wants to use him. Pitino certainly got enough experience last year trying to hammer square pegs into round holes that you would assume he isn't planning to try that again.
I 100% agree

Not only will Storr not be here next year but I don’t think he’ll be at any college next year
let me start by saying that AJ is an awesome kid. He is surrounded by a professional publicity team that likely manipulates his decision making (they manipulate everything else). He really loves SJU. Last time I chatted with him (in Wisconsin) I was wearing SJU stuff and his first question was “did they win tonight?”. I’d welcome buddy back to SJU with open arms.

Richmond does what we struggled to do last season. He makes winning plays… offensively and defensively. Can’t knock a player who can impact the game like he can even when he’s not scoring. Maybe his tempo is an issue? Idk but we can let the best coach in basketball figure it out.

Very interesting point. I don’t recall right now but did RP make a play to keep him?
