It looks like there are fewer than 20 guys listed as PFs by Verbal Commits who are available and look like they could play D-1. And of those guys, four are good.

St. John's clearly isn't afraid to welcome kids who sue the NCAA, so you could throw the Bewley twins on that list too.

I'm sure there are at least some 220+-pound SFs in the portal who could play PF, but I think we have enough SFs who'll have to play the four for us.

Uggh...this board and the incredible infatuation with undersized guys. Ty Grant has been gone for 25 years! You know why we keep comparing guys to him, because he was practically a unicorn and we haven't found another one since. Please, for the love of God, can we get a 4 that's at least 6'9.

Ty Grant was the center on that team. Artest was the power forward and he was a very muscular 6’8”.

Problem is there isn't much in the way of 6'6 or 6'9 PFs with talent this late.

I totally agree. I also agree with the posters that said he was more comfortable down the stretch and seemed to shake off his injuries. He looked quicker to me in the last few games, and he was getting better lift, including blocking shots by Kalk and Clingan. He’s a gamer and would do really well with our guards breaking down the defense while he cuts to the hole or sets up alone at the arc.
