May 1st is the day the portal closes but also the day I’ve officially hit portal fatigue. This stuff is exhausting and I’m just a fan. Can’t imagine how the coaches feel

Does that mean he will call the Coaches of teams he’s looking to recruit players from ? Seems like it might be a 1 way street ?

But , maybe he does call them and say , “ I’m going to recruit your Portal Players. “

I still think point guard is the need to fill position the most this off season. Would absolutely love to add omier but with jenkins gone this is the most important add to me.

Depends if Ledlum is eligible. If so, the loss is salvageable. If not, and given the weakness at the center position, our front court will be thinner than last year. That’s assuming we don’t get somebody else in the portal of course.

Also hearing Omier not looking good at this point. He was going to take quite a bit of NIL to sign so the money is now probably available to sign two big players….. again everything extremely fluid at this point. Don’t shoot the messenger.

Kadary and Smith could come aboard and Wilcher could still get close to 20mpg as the third guard. Wilcher averaged 9mpg last year as a freshman. Asking for 15-20 this season as a soph is reasonable, anything more is greedy imo

I’m curious about the players we’re involved with that haven’t been discussed or leaked to Trilly and ZB. Slick is a poker player he doesn’t tip his hand. This isn’t the Iraqi Navy!

Maybe strategy is to land Smith & Kadary and pray Chris L gets waiver if Omier is out of reach as it looks. Imo, you would have a very good BE contender w Smith, Kadary & Omier, but a notch down w Chris rather than Omier. Hopefully there are other alternatives to Chris, but getting relatively late.

Definitely would imagine Kadary playing a lot of forward as well.

Maybe there was something to the rumor of DePaul (but also STJ) being involved in Hopkins yesterday & that being a contingency plan.
