I'm okay with being selective this time around. I think CRP is learning from last offseason where he took players he might not normally take and is going the other route this offseason. Kriisa would've probably been the most hated person on this board in a while.

We're going for much bigger targets, which mean a lot more competition/curve balls/dominos/etc. Pitino's had these battles before.

Fact that we're passing up on guys we were favorites for should give you confidence that staff knows we'll get a bigger guy down the line.

I'll stick to saying that I thought Kriisa would've been a good fit offensively, although turnovers were troublesome. Defense was always the question mark. But he wasn't a home run -- don't disagree with the decision to hold off.

Agree to a extent . But , he’s also got the potential to be that 3 point sharpshooter that every team needs . And, that we lacked last season .

If he was dismissed knowing more talented Players are coming , it’s great .

Sometimes you have to take.a Shooter , despite the flaws they may have in other skills .
Obviously Kerr wasn’t viewed as that player .

At the end of the day, most of us don’t know for sure whether we pass on a kid or whether a kid passes on us or whether it was a mutual decision (i.e., asking price was too high). Would be surprised if we asked Kriisa to visit only to pass on him. Anything is possible — perhaps he performed really poorly in the workout or perhaps we really do have something imminent with a bigger fish who plays the same position. Seems unlikely but who knows.

I think a lot of us felt that with the rhetoric from Pitino/Repole and Matt A.’s connections that we’d at least be linked to some difference makers by now. I’m not in the know at all, but a month into portal season nothing seems imminent. That’s a bit disappointing IMO. Still a lot of off-season to go, but fair for fans to start growing restless.

I was told yesterday afternoon SJU would be involved there, and then he goes into the portal in the evening and SJU is one of the first names associated with him. I know this fan base is not patient, and I understand everyone wants players and news to talk about. But this is just another example of allowing this staff to evaluate the whole pool.

We are linked to difference makers. Among the best players in portal did not even enter until yesterday. Be patient. We’ve lost for 25 years straight, what’s another month to sign some guys?

Agree, but it seems fair and natural for fan(atics) to be a little 'restless' at this point, with full faith in Rick & Staff & Nil$'s intact.
