At the end of the day, most of us don’t know for sure whether we pass on a kid or whether a kid passes on us or whether it was a mutual decision (i.e., asking price was too high). Would be surprised if we asked Kriisa to visit only to pass on him. Anything is possible — perhaps he performed really poorly in the workout or perhaps we really do have something imminent with a bigger fish who plays the same position. Seems unlikely but who knows.
I was about to say the same thing. No way does the staff waste time on Krissa if there wasn’t genuine interest, nor do I think they tell him they want him then turn around and say no thanks cause a bigger name comes around, especially if there’s competition for that “name”. My guess, as u said, he performed below expectations in the workout.

Picky Ricky

Sometimes you gotta wait until the prospects you want become available and then you show them your real NIL budget.

Agree, but it seems fair and natural for fan(atics) to be a little 'restless' at this point, with full faith in Rick & Staff & Nil$'s intact.
Seems like incongruous positions but to each their own; last year Pitino picked too fast, this year too slow when in reality regardless of the next 6 weeks or so we will very little until come December…….

Fair point on most of us (certainly including yours truly) not knowing whether we pass, kid passes or its a mutual non-meeting of the $minds. I do think there are definitely people posting here who are very close to the program and often do know those things but that's a different story.

What I do know is that I saw Kriisa play in two of Arizona's NCAA tourney games in 2022 and 2023 and came away very unimpressed; that is clearly just my relatively uninformed view. If we went with him I would have said well Rick sees something I don't see and sure as hell knows better than me; but I am not at all unhappy to hear we are not going that way.

Trying to be patient, but I wish the powers that be would (or at least tell Zach so he can) tell us, don't expect any news until May 1st or whatever....just so we have an idea.....and of course add any details if possible.

But he hasn’t committed elsewhere nor has he crossed us off his list.
Perhaps he's just playing everyone to get a raise in NIL at every stop!
I don't want that type of player. I want a player who sees themselves playing for a particular coach in a particular style of play at a reasonable price based on past success.
I don't think Pitino will put all his eggs in Cliff's basket because even an elite inside outside player like Dickinson couldn't change the fate of Kansas this year.

In this new NIL & unlimited transfer world, if a transfer kid
commits (signs something) is it binding for upcoming year,
or can a kid renege if higher offers come later ?
