High school was very impressive and promising.
I don't see an upgrade from Ledlum however. No outside game whatsoever and an horrific foul shooter. Very erratic numbers last season and could be a mutual parting of the ways to make room for a more complete player like the kid from Indiana State.

P.S. Mo Harkless he is not!

Unfortunately even if we get Ledlum back it may be New Year's Eve before the NCAA renders that decision.

The freedom that players have today sure keeps me interested in this team. I used to check in half a dozen times during the off season. Now I am checking every day. I'm not any less into following this sport three years into it. The money people pay to watch and attend games is growing.

The freedom to transfer to other schools was a long time coming for players. The flow of players will slow down a bit with this fifth year covid year finally running out after next season. Perhaps things will evolve with contracts keeping players for multiple years. It sounds like kids are getting better/smarter representation.

Hopefully, we are in a position of looking for less players in the portal as the staff moves into year three and beyond. I don't think it's a winning formula to rely on the portal for more than one or two players a year.
The freedom players have today has never had me less interested in the sport. Different strokes...

The delta between the Chris Ledlum that actually exists and the Chris Ledlum that exists in the minds of some folks here is fascinating.

Zach: "St. John's is in a good spot with West Virginia transfer Kerr Kriisa. Expect him to take visit to Cincinnati on Wednesday. But like Johnnies here."
Why do I get the feeling that if we wanted this kid, the coaching staff would have put on the "Zuby" recruiting tactic? Don't let him leave till he commits? Same for the rest of the visits? Not sure being the first visit is advantageous?
