SJU now 20th in AP Poll

Awesome! Higher than I expected I was thinking #21 or #22 since only a few top 25 teams lost this week.

Way to go. When I was a kid they only had a top 20, so I feel like we are ranked now. If we can win the next two, we should have a very nice ranking heading into the Seton Hall game.

I'm cautiously optimistic. We are playing well, and have a couple of non-conference games that could give us trouble. I'm really waiting for the Big East season with anticipation. It's a promising start, given the god awful start last year. Now they don't have to climb out of a big hole, and can instead build on success game to game. Being ranked is nice, but at this point in the season a single misstep will have us bounced out. Good defense, good ball movement on offense, and knock down big shots - all signs of a tourney team. Keep it going guys.

Feeling really good for the seniors that have gone through quite a bit. You can feel the confidence on the court, and now it's being backed up with our 2nd week in the top 25.

If we want to crack top 10 CO needs to step up. Starting with his maturity on the court and having his offense on point. His blocks and rebounds are solid, once he gets his emotions under control and puts the ball in the hoop, consistently, we will be a force to be reckoned with.

Best part is even if we lose to St. Mary's we'll still be around #27 or #28 and could easily jump back in. Of course, if we beat St. Mary's we'll probably be ranked around #16 the following week with a chance at top 10 by end of the year.

Without throwing water on all this love, this isn't a top ten team, so let's be reasonable in our assessments. For my money, I'll be happy with a tourney team, a trip somewhere, and one or two tournament wins.

Congrats to the team.

Let's hope CO comes back with a fury against St. Mary's as we'll need him in a big way.

CBS' early tourney has us as a #6 seed vs. Illinois

Great to just being in the discussion even if it's just December.

On that subject, did you see CO go left ? Not to be foolish, but he is right handed, correct? That was a solid move for the big guy.

And channel that "fury" in a "don't get ejected" type of way ;)

Don't even sweat it. We got this on lock down.
We're balling right now, and we will continue to ball right into the tournament, barring injuries that is.

Stop that "if we lose" crap.
It isn't happening.

Lol well I think we'll beat St. Mary's just saying it's good we're building up a cushion now. Another week or two of winning would really solidify us as a top 25 team.

Butler created some breathing room and is still ranked after their loss @ Tenn.

Also, something to keep in mind regarding SMC is they're 6-1 and have a chance at being ranked if they beat SJU. Want to see the team giving 100% effort start to finish because SMC will.
