I hope the offense can stay this hot through the playoffs. This is how they were early in the season. Also McAuliffe pitched in relief so it seems like the pitching is getting healthy.

So Creighton is a.500 team overall to our 37-8 . Yet they are leading the conference by 1 game over us. Question is their OCS so much better then ours.

The other quirk is Creighton had a couple of games canceled earlier in the year and I do not see them schedule as make up. So we play 18 and they play 16 Be games?

Our RPI is 29, Creighton is 165. They have lost four straight...all at home.

At this stage we are in the NCAA tourney, just a matter of where and seeding.

A few more notes:

- Anthony Brocato (RF) was named BE player of the week for last week
- BE tournament is set: SJU, Creighton, Seton Hall & Xavier are in. Starts Thurs 5/25.
- A kid for Seton Hall pitched a no-hitter yesterday vs. 'Nova. Granted 'Nova are terrible but still... (our last 3 BE games are against 'Nova, 5/18-5/20. We should get to 40 wins for the season in this series).
- SJU is ranked # 5 in the country with a team BA of .328 and # 6 with a team ERA of 2.79. Very impressive.
 
Q&A from BA. Let them underestimate us:

Do you think the committee would consider tabbing St Johns as a host if they win the big east regular season this weekend and then win the big east tourney? If not a chance to host are they a lock to at least be a 2 seed?

Teddy Cahill: I don’t see it. The committee showed no interest last year in geographic diversity for the sake of geographic diversity, so I wouldn’t expect that to change this year. And St. John’s metrics aren’t going to be helped this week by playing four games against RPI 200+ teams. I would definitely expect them to be a two-seed, however. And a dangerous one, at that.

15-1 win over 'Nova. Up 10-0 after 2 innings. Should have ended it there. Sean Mooney with win # 8, no losses. His ERA is ridiculously low.

We lost. Not sure who is the jinx. They lost both games that I went to this year but Desco was there for a loss at his first game of the year. Redstormrising is off the hook because he goes to a lot of games and sees a lot of wins.

Rumor is that 114 Ralph was in the parking lot so I'm going to blame him too

Weirdest thing was our player getting thrown out of the game while he was batting in I think the 8th with an 0-2 count. I have no clue why the ump threw him out. It was ridiculous. Disco was sitting closer to the plate so maybe he has better idea. Then the Ump throws out our coach after 5 seconds of arguing. Then the ump was jawing with out 1st base coach then he was yelling at our bench. The home plate Ump was a total short fused Dick

I was there. Pretty sure I am a jinx. They couldn't hit the second pitcher. He had a strange delivery with a good fastball and nice offspeed pitch. Had good control also until he tired in the ninth. Couldn't tell what Knightes did or said but I think Ump was pissed at being heckled by the bench all game.

I moved a couple of times but mostly behind the St. John's dugout. Where you wearing a St. John's sweatshirt and a red hat?
