agree totally. I really love the way Owens is playing but we are one key injury and some foul outs from being a disaster again. We went from some nice depth to suddenly thin. Kids will need to stay aggressive yet play smart.Personally, I'm disappointed, but he seemed like a great kid and I wish him well. He's just looking out for his best interests, and you can't fault him for that. Even though he's shown regression this year, I've always had the feeling he would break out at any point and live up to the potential. I still think he has a bright future somewhere. Hopefully others get the message and now step up in his absence.
I get the feeling SJC88 hasn't employed any millennials.
Appears Matt is looking at a 2017 PF from same AAU program as Marvin Clarke to help fill interior void with Sima transfer.

That kid moves around much better than Sima and actually has some meat on his bones. Not to kick Sima on his way out but just always thought he was weak, slow and mechanical (so maybe he actually was pretty productive for his level of ability). Do wish him well on his future endeavors.

Looks like Tennessee offered him yesterday. He's listed at 6'8" 220 now.
Just read the novel Indentured Servant. May not matter what ST J's does or at this point even what the kid does. The diabolical dastardly NCAA may already be licking their chops to declare him ineligible just based on all and what schools he has been at and what classes he has taken. They denied a kid eligibility who was trying to come back after first beating stomach cancer and then brain cancer.We already signed his replacement. We are looking for the backup to his replacement before we sign Moses Brown.
Since this is no longer about replacing Sima for this year, let's hope the athletic department staff has an eagle eye on Zach's eligibility quest. It is not brain surgery.
Fwiw from Rutgers blog;
"Would Sima consider Rutgers? I don’t know for sure, but there are some obvious connections here. Sima played at the Canaris Basketball Academy in the Canary Islands. That is the same program where current Rutgers players Shaq Doorson and Issa Thiam played. Former assistant and current Director of Player Development Greg “Shoes” Vetrone has recruited there for years and brought those two players to Rutgers. Sima ended up transferring to Arlington Country Day in Jacksonville, Florida, which is also where Issa finished his high school career.
I’m not sure of how well Sima knows Doorson or Issa, but I’m sure there paths have crossed at some point based on the common stops during their high school days. At a minimum, it’s likely Shoes has interacted with Sima on the recruiting trail. Rutgers wasn’t a school he considered during his initial recruitment, but that was likely due to the status of the program under former head coach Eddie Jordan. With Pikiell now in the fold and getting positive results early on his tenure, that could entice Sima to now consider Rutgers. Having a familiarity with other players on the team only helps."
