Sima Transferring

Sima committed to Oklahoma St. Per Rothstein

any chance there was tampering going on? kind of odd for a kid to decide to transfer and know where hes going a week later

Going to get coached by a guy who won two NCAA tournament games in three years at Sthephen F Austin. Also an improvement in the weather. Very little snow but Sima should keep the winter jacket his handler bought him because it gets cold at night and he weighs like nothing.

OK weather is often completely miserable very erratic and often just dangerous. From the flash floods, bolt lightning storms, tornadoes, blistering heat, dust storms. I like OK and generally some really nice people, but wouldn't go there for the weather.

he went there because they have sick facilities. go on you tube and check out Ok State basketball cribs. And that was a couple of years ago. Im sure its not just about basketball.

T. Boone Pickens has donated over $500MM to OSU. "His $165 million gift to OSU in 2005 is the single-largest gift for athletics in NCAA history..."

If it wasn't for four divorces, his donations might have topped $1B :)

Forget the weather. Oklahoma -- thanks to the energy industry's disposal of wastewater produced during oil extraction that has been injected more deeply into the ground -- is now the earthquake capital of America. How many of those before the big guy moves on to his next stop?

I don't think it was the Okie basketball facilities, the Super Walmart, the short 1 hour drive south on 35 to the "City" in place of the subway ride into the real "City" or any other attractions for a 19 year old in Stillwater. I think it dawned on him as soon as Zach Brown signed that he was no longer the center of the future. Should Zach qualify there was good reason to redshirt a slow developer like Sima. Ironically, this transfer becomes his redshirt year.

As for T Boone Pickens, I envy Oklahoma State for having his deep pockets. But Sima's transfer was obviously in the works for weeks and his lackluster performance as a Johnny was easy for the staff to figure that he was playing with one foot out the door.

Ultimately, his trip to Stillwater became routine with a simple promise to call Yankuba "T-Bone" and all the dumb cowgirls he could boink.

[/quote] He was stupid. Should have transferred at the end of this year. By transferring mid year he lost a year of eligibility. Considering how raw he is a real redshirt year than 2 more years would have made more sense. He will only have 1 more year of eligibility after next year, which he only will get to play 1 semester. Gave up a year of development.
