Wilcher is a talent who believes in hard work. Hopefully he stays.I think we're gunning for a roster where Sanon might not even be starting. We just haven't told him or his agent that though.
So if we are so loaded that Sanon is sixth man, where does that leave Wilcher?
I think a lot hinges on how early we land Hopkins if he's in the cards and Luis whether he accepts the harsh lesson and manages to negotiate enough of a pay bump worthy of the BE POY.I'd be VERY surprised if Sanon is not starting.
I also think slick Rick likes to say "you'll have a chance to start, and a very good one at that" but not necessarily iron-clad promises (unless its literally Kadary Richmond or returning captain Zuby/BE POY RJ)I think a lot hinges on how early we land Hopkins if he's in the cards and Luis whether he accepts the harsh lesson and manages to negotiate enough of a pay bump worthy of the BE POY.
Would staff turn down another huge difference maker at that point? I say no.
Sim doesn't have the basketball IQ required to be a PGWould like Sim and Brady back but would not lose any sleep over it if they both left.
Have to wonder if Rick and staff feel that Sim is behind schedule right now. He was clearly brought in to be a PG or at the very least a combo. Pitino wanted him in that role last year to take some of the burden off of Daniss but he clearly wasn't ready for that. Rick had to have Dingle and Alleyne bring the ball up when Daniss would sit.
With Kadary and Deivon in the fold this year there was no path for Sim to get mins at PG. Turned him into the full time starting 2 in hopes he would at least provide competent shooting and spacing on an otherwise shooting deficient team. He didn't.
The potential for Sim to be a very good player is there but what would be the focus for him this offseason? He didn't shoot it particularly well though the form is there. He never gets to the free throw line. He's not a playmaker or true PG. His defense is solid but he fouls too much and doesn't rebound.
Lots to improve on and I wouldn't count out Rick in transforming all of those aspects of him during this offseason. But easy to think that Rick was hoping he'd be ahead of where he is now by this point.

He also can't defend anybody one on one. People blow by him at will
He's also not strong enough to play against highly talented players
He has very nice shooting form and has the potential to develop into a decent 2 guard
But he's not there yet and half of his college eligibility has been used up
He needs to grow up, stop whining at the refs and take a big step forward next season
Don't know if this was posted yet, but Brady entered the transfer portal
Nothing from dad's twitter yet.Not sure if this is legit or not. Looks just copy and pasted from that other Johnny Thunderbird account. Could just be speculation but I have no inside info
Freudenberg?? Love it.Yeah I don’t think this is legit. Zach’s last update was that there was momentum with Brady and some interest on both sides. I think it just comes down to what type of role he wants. He probably will not be starting on next year’s team for the most part - if he wants to be a lock for a starter then he might look elsewhere. But that extra year is huge
Zach should stay and play all 3 years that he is eligible. And get a Masters Degree in Communications. Play in Europe for a few years, and then become a broadcaster.Yeah I don’t think this is legit. He is bright, articulate and charismatic. And he can shoot!!! We need him.
That is a fantastic response. Cheers!!!And one day he may even grow up to be the teams beat writer for the NY post!
