You make a great point, and of course i'm a die-hard. I'm just kinda of a deadbeat who likes to gamble a little bit. I figured they would win, so I had to get greedy and try to beat the spread too. Only bet 50 bucks, it was worth the loss to see them win if you get my point.

Yeah, and I was speaking as somebody who really can't afford to lose. I really only do legal gambling (the track, and casino table games). I just don't need it to watch our games (though if I did gamble, I would probably be way more attentive to games not involving St. John's)/

I love the horses and table games too. Horse racing in the winter in NY is terrible tho.

I don't have any real vices. I've led a dull life. I have a friend that, whenever we talk college basketball, all he talks about is the line, the over-under (halftime and final score). Takes all the fun out of the conversation.

My friend and I bet on the kids game at half time of each game( I won yesterday's ). Makes the halftime go quicker.

But then I lost it on betting him when the 2 kids run down the court putting on the baggy uniforms and then having to hit a layup on who would win.

So I broke even for the day
