@Seton Hall, Tue., Jan. 16, 8:30p, FS-1

There is something going on w Luis, yanked last game and again tonight and you could sense staff frustration. Hopefully he buys into what they expect on both ends of court, on an Offensively challenged team like this we need him.
I said last game he is a better version of Curbelo, still a head case, very selfish, but is a better scorer.

Perhaps Brady has a future and for a team who plays poor D he may contribute but fir now, he’s in over his head.
Almost everyone looked in over

Luis turns it on when the mood strikes him, and not nearly as much on D as on offense. I won't swear to it, but it feels to me like he's playing with one foot out the door. I think he's buying in to all the hype.

If any of the guys were getting big heads from the outside media this was a kick in the head.Even if Rick’s back on Saturday after tonight’s performance I don’t know if we could beat Marquette. Will be a tall order.

Agree. Unless he buys in he'll be gone.

Zuby should have probably run point tonight. He had the best looking shot and drive and kick.

SH is actually good…I wish we could trade for Dawes.

They beat the brakes off us.

Our offense led by the point guard is guys coming down and jacking up jumpers then we don’t get back on misses. This team is not a good shooting team but consistently shoots jumpers early in the shot clock.Tone set early this game when missed first 5 shots all of which were bad shots. Gene Hackman would be rolling in his grave at our offense,

When you put Luis, Jenkins and Alleyne together there is zero ball movement.

Luis is a 6’7 Jenkins. They so clearly don’t like playing together.

I’m not as bothered by this game as much as Creighton to be honest. I knew we had 1-2 of these left.
Marillac continuing his most fascinating poster streak. Creighton didn’t bother me at all and yet right now I’m throwing remote controls and my Mac and kicked over the recycling bucket

I owe every member here an apology. I thought this was easy win. I’m never predicting a game rest of season
No need for apologies mjmaherjr but I do have to question your optimism here. Seton Hall has been beating all the ranked Big East teams at home this season and was in first place in the conference. Beyond that we have lost 15 of 17 away games to the Hall in the twenty-first century (see link below).

I was hopeful tonight but a loss was not really that unexpected.

Of course the Pitino being out factor probably should not be underestimated either. The team definitely seem to be effected by his absence.

Luis 2 points. 1/5 shooting, zero rebounds. Alleyane MIA.

Taylor hustling, only guy worth commending
Disagree. Zuby hustled his ass off and Jenkins plays hard every game. Unfortunately, the rest of the team was playing as if they had the night off since coach was absent.
They will pay the price the first practice Pitino is back.

I think it helps when the game is over early. We got absolutely ran out of of the gym. When we were down 28 it didn’t even feel that close.

Their guards are just way better. Once Alleyne checked out with 2 fouls the game was over. He’s a 5th year senior…let the kid play! He finished with three fouls too 😂

I watched every second of the game and I am thankful for two things since I could’ve convinced myself to buy last minute tickets and traveled to see it….

1) My middle school son has midterms this week and lack of sleep for him not a good idea.

2) I am also under the weather.

Very disappointed with the outcome and the beat down. I was happy to see some fight out of the bench. I hope this means for PT for Ejofar, Taylor, and Drissa (I can only remember everyone being pleasantly surprised with his and Taylor’s play this year and then he’s been riding the bench).

I don’t blame Massielo. Of course Coach P would’ve stopped the bleeding sooner but I give him credit for benching both Soriano and Luis.

I can’t even blame my fucking embarrassing prediction on alcohol. It was flat out post covid delusion
