Here's a recap. SJU shoots well from the field, shoots at or above their normal free throw %, forces a lot of turnovers, and shared the ball well. In other words, they played tremendous after falling behind 10 early. And the result? When we play our "A" game, we beat a bottom half Big East opponent by a point at home. I will take any win, but the only thing that starts now is more disappointment to anyone that thinks good things are ahead. After every game, I feel a little nauseous.
The Lavin knocks keep on coming, But if any of the players makes a play the game is over. Finally Pointer does. Our best player down the stretch. Anyone want to talk about how much Branch, Harrison, Jordan or any of the guys getting it done to lock up the win? Only pointer. Who else, who? Congrats to Steve for winning a game with guys dying to give it away.

Can't argue with that. The Hall comeback was fueled by Branch getting stripped at mid-court, then clanking a 3.He played his best game of the year, and then decided to be Branch again. But it's good to know that Lavin thinks Jordan is the best player he ever coached when the wind chill is below zero.
I have to Agree w the stupidity of not holding a time out for the inbounds. We saw what happened against Providence when our ivy leaguer didn't use a timeout when he couldn't inbound. You have to prepare for that.Too many fouls and dumb plays at the end. I laughed when the announcer said Lavin was good at closing out games when winning. Sheed played well ,something like 6 assists w 1 turnover. Our bigs should take rebounding lessons from DLO. At this point I ll take the W.Only saw most of the 2nd half didn't see Greene what was the story w him. I did see that he had 4 assists.
Ennis doesn't have to deal with 3 other guards on the team fighting for playing time . Imagine if carter Williams got to play his freshmen year. I knew he was better than scoop, triche, and dion waiters after I watched him in the 2011 McDonalds all American game but he never got the chance to play as a freshmen . Ennis was given the keys right away with no back up.
