Selection Sunday
Belmont has two quad 1 wins and they got in before us?
Take it and run, take it and run

Looking at their roster, they got a couple of big guys, but this seems like a similar team to us. I like that. Most of their best players are in the 6 foot, 6-4” range.

While I hope SJU wins, I think it is unlikely SJU wins more than one game. If I could have one wish granted it would be to have LSU to win the tournament to shine a spot light on the state of "amateur" athletics.

Go Storm!
Congrats to the team and coaches. Now let the complaining begin...
After our last 2 plus weeks, I don’t think anyone can complain about this. New slate.
Last time we were the last team in ( no 40 in 1979 ) we got to final eight.
It is both nice and fair!
My long standing pet peeve perhaps one day St. John’s gets ( back) to the level of other “small Catholic non/ football” schools to wit:
Villanova, Gonzaga, Xavier, St Mary’s, Providence, Marquette, Seton Hall and others.
It is “nice”
It would be even more nice to beat Arizona State.
Go Storm.

I really think our first “win” vs seton hall got us in

Arizona State has a lot of size which worries me.

Zylan Cheatham is 6'8.
Kimani Lawrence is 6'7.
Romello White is 6'8.
Taeshon Cherry is 6'8.
De'Quon Lake is 6'10.

So that's FIVE of their eight regular rotation players.

I don’t trust us off a win but the first three games are very winnable. None are huge or deep. Owens couldn’t hurt us at 205...maybe the other kid.

Cheatham on ASU is a better version of Tyrique Jones and a Marillac favorite so that scares me most. He is a crazy offensive rebounder.

Now that is a big problem.
Didn’t Simon play with some of these guys? Or was it Arizona?
