So for purposes of "where am I gonna sit," here is some back-of-the-envelope LMF math (disclaimer: LMF sucks at math).
The school apparently says there are about 5,500 season tickets.
Assuming the average season ticket package is 3 tickets (total guess), that means there are about 2,000 season ticket holders (by straight math it would be 1,833.33 but I like round numbers, so work with me here).
This would mean the top 5% is about 100 season ticket holders. If they buy 4 tickets each, they get the best 400 seats (assuming they're willing to pay for them, which is a pretty safe assumption with that group; and that would be after the school takes care of whoever else it wants to take care of).
Each increment after that would be about another 400 seats, though at some point it is to be expected that some of the "best available" seats will start to become available to lower point rankings if folks don't want to pay for the best seats.
Bottom line is that given the Garden capacity, I think most folks will be satisfied with where they land - whether they're happy with the prices will be another question. And I don't know what will happen at CA, that may generate less joy for some.
