Season Tickets

I took a quick glance at UConn since they have been doing something similar. Not gonna bore people with links. They also have priority points but don't cap the years on consecutive season tickets (something I wholeheartedly agree with everyone on this board about being a major flaw in our system -- recordkeeping or not, figure it out).

But get this, they promised "forever seats" in 2019 that wouldn't be up for re-seating and five years later, already going back on it. That is pretty awful. Don't think anyone here would call UConn mom and pop.

"Since this announcement, there has been discourse online over if this decision for the seat-selection process is a good one, especially for those who have “Forever Seats.”

In 2019, UConn Athletics announced on their website a process called Forever Seats in which season ticket holders could pick their seats and keep them “year after year when they renew.” This meant that as long as the ticket holder renewed the 2019-2020 season seats every year, the seats could be theirs forever if they paid the associated costs each year.

Due to the renovations, those with “Forever Seats” are not guaranteed their specifically chosen seats anymore."

man... this day in age... even Forever aint guaranteed

On some e-mails have seen references to "contact your individual ticket account representative" for questions.

Does anyone know if there is a general phone number for this? I can't find any documentation with the name or phone number of my account representative.

I've communicated the essence of your sentiment at the highest levels. Before Lavin arrived we had less than 2000 STH. No matter where your seats are if we return to futility, STH will take a big hit. What will be left are the diehards who are here and have been for decades.
I'm actually shocked to hear there were 2000 season ticket holders at the end of the Norm era! Props to those people.

I don't disagree with this, but fully understand that it's a gargantuan ask for approx 80% of STH - even if you break that up over 5 years

We are now watching professional college basketball stocked with the best players in the country. For sure some fans may get priced out if ticket prices rise. Realities are that those who support the school will get better seats. That's it. No real debate here. Don't you buy your tickets from stubhub type sites on a per game basis? For a lot of fans, they may scale down to 5 or 6 games per season.

FWIW due to renovations those seats might be in a local landfill. I'm sure they're welcome to use them there. ;)

But in reality if the seating chart changes then what can you do.
