I took a quick glance at UConn since they have been doing something similar. Not gonna bore people with links. They also have priority points but don't cap the years on consecutive season tickets (something I wholeheartedly agree with everyone on this board about being a major flaw in our system -- recordkeeping or not, figure it out).
But get this, they promised "forever seats" in 2019 that wouldn't be up for re-seating and five years later, already going back on it. That is pretty awful. Don't think anyone here would call UConn mom and pop.

Due to the renovations, those with “Forever Seats” are not guaranteed their specifically chosen seats anymore."
