Marillac’s initial point was vs small guards who can get underneath him. Uconn didn’t have those guys.
Exactly. That Uconn team is actually making me struggle with my decades-old smaller guard preference. They had a SG who couldn't handle at all (and Alleyne with the same profile backing him up) and a 6'5 PG. They built those perimeter skills in the aggregate with Andre Jackson giving them ++ ball-handling and play-making from the 3 and Karaban giving them + skills from the 4. I hate that it worked.

Then again, it gives us a blue print for how Glover's skillset at the 3 could be back-breaking with Wilcher and another elite combo 1-2.

Every time I hear Uconn mentioned I get mildly miffed . They are turncoats of the Caliber of Benedict Arnold and even , recently were again openly soliciting moving to another Conference .

The reasons are unimportant , other than their Greed. Why they are permitted to play unimpeded in our Conference is beyond me . They should be suspended from playing in the BE Tournament as they habitually look to exit the Conference .
You can't really blame them when they have a football program. Even a bad one is worth more than basketball if you end up in the right conference

As my wife says, it's not the size it how they are used
