Obviously expect changes after this season like most programs, but saw this on line;

Paultzman I count 14 scholarships scheduled for next year. My math may be off but aren't we limted to 13? If there weren't any transfers to happen can players be redshirted to make the numbers work out?

Yes on limit & red shirts count. Like many programs (like Arkansas, Louisville usually, etc) that continue to recruit despite limitations, some players see the light and leave.

I saw this earlier today. I didn’t realise how man my graduate in 2022. That should mean no more JUCO in this class.

Per DeAnte Mitchell
Throughout the month of September, St. John’s added JUCO All American Vince Cole, his close friend Isaih Moore, along with Dylan Wusu, Posh Alexander’s close friend & there’s no indication they are done recruiting in 2020. This could be a HUGE class for the Johnnies #sjubb

Guaranteed one or two transfer. It’s inevitable. I have my thoughts about which candidates but we shall see.

After Redmannorth's post on p. 8 of the Wusu thread, I definitely started getting the feeling that McGriff might be in for a short stay. And Making Plays' post on p. 10 of that thread didn't do anything to dissuade me from that thought. Starting to worry Earlington won't be marching in a St. John's graduation ceremony either. I was hoping Big Red would be wrong, but it sure seems like we will be losing kids.

If I'm reading the chart correctly. I think it includes LJ playing as a senior. Maybe the staff knows, LJ will be "moving on " at the end of this season? That would bring the scholarships to the limit rather than over the limit.

Everybody says the staff loves Earlington, and I’m sure he’s a fantastic kid with great work ethic. I’m just not sure where he fits in to our game plan as he’s undersized, not real skilled and not a great athlete. I also think Roberts is under the gun a bit to show what he can do. I think Caraher is probably a much better overall b-ball player than those two so I think he’s probably ok. If we land a legit big, time will be tight for first two j mentioned. I haven’t seen McGriff so I have no idea.

I think LJ has to leave after this year. After all, Redman.com has already packed his bags.

He's limited. There's a reason he didn't make Zach's sophomore article about Roberts and Williams assuming bigger roles.

This site has packed several bags already; disingenuous and classless IMO.

Well clearly the staff is packing players bags too. So we're not the only ones.

The bottom line is all of the previous staff’s recruits are subject to speculation. Unless they impress they likely will be recruited over.

No, I see it as THIS staff is being prepared! Compared to our last staffs that were left shorthanded year after year, this staff is preparing for college basketballs inevitable transfers. Now, which players? Lets not start speculating players names until we at least see how they perform under new management, not to mention the kids reading this and sense they are not wanted before it even starts.

Who said they weren’t? But to speculate by naming names when the posters haven’t a clue of who is playing well or impressing the staff is classless. One of the Arkansas posters, who has shared a lot of good insight into Anderson, posted he looked at tape which apparently qualified him to suggest who would or wouldn’t fit into Anderson’s system. There isn’t enough meaningful tape available for anyone outside of Heron or Figueroa to decide which players should be picked choosing sides in a park never mind fitting into a “system”.
