I know hope springs eternal, but we've got exactly 2 players on the roster who we know can make an impact at this level. Everyone else is a huge question mark. And while both LJ and Must are very good basketball players, neither has shown the ability to carry the team the way, say, Shamorie was capable of doing when he got hot. If we don't finish near the bottom of the conference, I'll be pleasantly surprised.
Fair assessment. And, while this year is largely a question mark, it seems more likely that we will feel the heavy impact of our rebuild during the 2020-2021 season.
I think the rosters for both the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons are worrisome. New players have to fit in and produce this season and next year we'll most likely lose our two top remaining players.
There's so much unknown--from how successfully CMA can implement his '40-minutes-hell' with the current roster-and who else might be recruited for 2020-21 and the ultimate impact of a large class of 'newbies' in their first season in the Big East.
I'm confident in CMA's ability to turn the tide but he does face huge challenges in both years.
In that vein, is Christian Guess off the board for 2020-21 given Dylan Wusu's commitment or is he still in the picture?
