It was in response to this Tweet, where the person said the school was acting in good faith. Zach then replied that the school was not acting in good faith at all. A dangerous accusation for a reporter to make unless they can back it up.

I'm not totally following what's going on here but if Pitino did in fact have an enticing offer this past offseason from a power conference team I feel like he would have pursued it more heavily or at least bluffed at it more if he and his agent felt they weren't being treated fairly by SJU.
Could all come down to the fact that Rick is comfortable here and has more money than he'll need for multiple lifetimes but Evan Daniels wants a fatter commission check and is pushing this narrative. I have no idea

I feel like it had to have been Maryland, and I'm not sure a more enticing job opens up next offseason. Plus they have horses down there.
Give the guy what he wants so we can just move forward without any dark clouds over our season.
That’s much too Cerebral to figure out . It would take the Cum Laudes of the Tobin School a while to gather the data and calculate .

I'm thinking the whole tweet-and-delete thing has to be something that Pitino's camp is orchestrating to speed this contract along.
It's kind of disastrous if Zach is simply posting this as 100 percent journalist and not 80 percent journalist/20 percent willing pawn.

I’m sorry but the higher ups at SJU are out of their damn minds if they don’t give this guy whatever he wants to be paid to the next 3-5 years. We have good thing for first time in 25 years it would be so on brand to allow it to blow up.
