Rick Pitino - Head Coach at St John’s University!!!

Reading this post , all of them , is funny . Only the paranoid amongst this group , would actually think Rick Pitino is going to walk away from St John’s .

All the hype about offers , not enough , gosh the sky is falling is are far from what will happen .

All that has been exposed so far , is posturing . Agents have to justify their value to their Client and putting it out to the Media is Negotiating 101.
It gets the madding crowd in a tizzy . But , is far from what will finally happen .
 
Rick is so trying to posture for a new contract. Tweeted last week that he won't be coaching in college by the time a 14 y/o makes it there, the whole groundbreaking leak, and now media day.

Fully confident they will get it done. Shanley knows what Rick means to the school he’s said so many times and Rick deep down knows this is the perfect spot for his resurrection and the NIL thanks to Repole to back it up. When he wins a Natty here it will be the crowning achievement and the ultimate redemption story

He wanted a lifetime contract from Iona, and I'm wondering if he'd still be there if it didn't fall through. Once it fell through and he started talking about it falling through, that's when I knew he'd be available. So my main concern I suppose is a possible repeat of that.

I don't think he wants to leave New York at this point, but I'm pretty sure he has a huge ego. I don't think he's dickish or anything like that if you meet him in public, but a huge ego nonetheless. We need to satisfy it with a non-insulting offer as fast as possible.

I know most of this is just posturing . . . but at some point it isn't and we are screwed without him.
