Definitely can see why Pitino rubs many people the wrong way. He spends a weekend there, including speaking at a practice and attending their midnight madness, all in their gear, and he can't even get a home and home? Good grief.

Fun little Big East story, 12 years ago today CRP and Jim Boeheim (there’s two peas in a pod) got into a tiff where RPC said Memphis and Temple would be fine replacing Pitt and Syracuse. Jim Boeheim countered by calling CRP full of shit.
12 years later and it turns out they both couldn’t have been more wrong. Temple and Memphis weren’t strong enough to hold the Basketball/Football mishmash big east together and Pitt and Syracuse don’t draw enough football ball dollars to keep the high value programs in the ACC from suing and threatening leaving every couple of months. A lot can happen in 12 years and predicting the future is tough
