Yeah right. We can be in great shape for our ages but youth matters a whole lot more. I am 53 and now at 14% BF but I can't lift like young guys at the gym. Not even close.

It sucks. But what I always say to young guys making fun is "at least I am guaranteed to be this old."

I'm sure Masiello is a fine asst coach. But hiring him as HC post Pitino would be a huge mistake. It would guarantee 4-5 years of mediocrity and undo the prestige built over the previous 5 years of success. Would be stupid to capitulate to that demand and stupid to make on the part of any coaching candidate

If that is the only thing in the way of hiring one of the all time great coaches then I would not hesitate to meet that demand. I'd agreed to bring back Norm Roberts if that would get him to sign on the dotted line. Let Rick bring us back from the dead and we can worry about the succession plan when he's done.
