Rick Pitino - Head Coach at St John’s University!!!

That one was bad (and hilarious)

Being in the Pavilion for that was so funny because the game stopped and everyone was confused why, and when Nova fans figured out why they all started jeering at Rick. Rick just quietly walked back on over to his spot. I was cracking up
My first reaction was they called a technical on Pitino. If Jay Wright was still there they probably would have. Another perk for us having Neptune as their coach.

Totally agree with you on this.the refereeing completed changed after he put his arm around him. Seems like the ref and coaches should not put hands on each other.

Still the moment from this season where I got the most mad.

He didn't like the whistle he got in the first half. So he got to have a whole ass smoke session with the refs during the game. Put his arms around them, explained his gripes. Next thing you know UConn is getting calls left and right.
Exactly what I was talking about and that talking seemed like it last a good 5minutes.
What bs.

He might be a good coach but it also helps to get the refs to give you everything.

Those should have been suspended.

I believe Panther was the one who said it, blame the refs then, every coach worth his salt works the refs for whatever they can get. K made it an art form, so did Jay Wright and John Thompson to name but a few.

So did Coach Carnessecca, Boeheim, and numerous other coaches, we can go on and on.

It's almost like you understand how college coaching works. Talk about mountain out of a molehill.

To everyone who says going after the refs is part of the game.
,
Yeah I get that 100%, but that's not my point. My point is how he acts that annoys that crap out of me. Most coaches get pissed and yell at the refs, but very few act like him.

The only thing I'll add about Hurley and his sideline antics (his admitted mental health issues aside) is that if you're winning at a high level, while also acting like a total psychopath on the sidelines, nobody can really say anything. Now if you start losing and still act like a total psychopath on the sidelines, well then you got issues.

Applying his Russ Smith acquired skills to space cadet part of RJ’s game 😇

To be fair - the team does have to work on the inbounds plays. It was way too difficult last night. Providence really hustled, but we have to be able to break that.
