Rick Pitino - Head Coach at St John’s University!!!

For the first time in forever I am no longer in fear of one of our players picking up two personal fouls in the first 5 minutes of a game, three before halftime, or 4 early to mid second half. This team is deep and balanced for the first time in my memory. It may not be the best team we've had in my 40+ years as a fan but it could be the deepest.

Leading scorer over Dingle, who is a senior?

I can't wait to watch these guys ball, I got a feeling we're gonna come real hard every game right from the get go.

I'm predicting a top 20 spot preseason, we gotta beat Michigan in RP first MSG game as St. John's coach. Hoston will be a top 10 team, if we beat them that's 4 wins in a week, could move up 8 spots to #12. How good is UWV really going to be losing Huggins and some players?
BC is nothing.

We could enter B.E. play in say the top 7, how sweet would that be?

It all depends on beating Houston.

Don’t think leading scorer is Luis’s type of game. And that’s perfectly fine by me.

Kid has a tremendous upside. As soon as his name was rumored for SJU really wanted him in SJU uniform.

Should be an All-League type of kid by his Junior Year.

Looks a lot different from today with Daniss Jenkins at PG. Offense runs smoother. The team is two deep at every position. Today Glenn Taylor stood out. Every practice a different player impressed. There are a lot of parts and I trust Coach Pitino to blend them into a cohesive unit.
