Rick’s Targets

As we enjoy talking about lineup combinations, putting together a competitive team and progressing, it is clear that Rick and Mas’ initial work to convince Joel to stick around was huge. Practically on day one they worked w his network including Stepinac guys to make this happen.

My guess is they promised Joel to bring in some shooters to kick the ball to avoiding double teams allowing him to effectively post up. I suspect on D end of equation we also won’t see blindness switching and him being isolated on guards 25 feet out.

I look forward to a solid season for Joel and anxiously await an additional interior guy to complement him.
It’s gonna be a whole different type of year for Joel, with a real offense being installed and a lot of guys who can shoot and score around him. Frankly think that Joel can be downright dominant, if he wasn’t already, in a system where he can have some half court offense with actual plays.

Soriano is also working on extending his outside game, which wasn't too shabby this past season.

Kentucky typically plays a short rotation and they have a top 5 recruit in the country coming in next year, Aaron Bradshaw, who is a center. Plus I don’t see Oscar high on any mock drafts. He left Kansas so he didn’t have to sit behind Dickinson. At Kentucky he’s sitting behind Oscar or Bradshaw.

Hopefully you’re right. But if my wife dated me but said hey I still have to meet with these two other guys and if Brad Pitt has an opening I’d consider him I’d be more than a little concerned about my chances. ☹️

Lots of rumors out there about Bradshaw decommitting.

Old white man's game, kind of like our society. ;)
That’s changing and has changed considerably - those of us old enough can see the clear differences. I remember when they were so few women and minorities serving as doctors and lawyers and ( oops don’t say “Indian Chiefs”, but I wonder why that’s automatically politically incorrect when intended as a simple, peaceful reference) now that’s just not the case. Same with coaching imho.

I suppose…This will forever (?) remain a controversial area in our melting-pot nation. I suppose.

All the best!
